I saw a meme one day with a cat walking around like a person and then BAM! Inspiration strikes! Plus cats always carry kind of a regal air about themselves naturally so the image came pretty readily to mind for this portrait.

This was the initial sketch, just throwing a couple ideas down

Then added some details and shadow

Refined some of the details, added value to everything. I also added a few more details along the way

This is the base color layer, which I created as an overlay layer.

Here I added some colored lighting, to give warmth and coolness where it was needed.

Started to refine some details here, right before the final touches.
